Biography

Bill has been employed with Texas Orthopaedic Associates since 2011 and he brings over 25 years of sports medicine experience with him to the practice. Bill currently assists several TOA physician’s in clinic as well as in the operating room. He using his knowledge and experience to educate patient’s about their condition as well as pre and post-operative care to improve the patient’s outcome. Prior to joining Texas Orthopaedic Associates, Bill was employed as an athletic trainer in the collegiate (SMU and Texas Wesleyan University) and high school (Ronald Reagan High School, San Antonio, TX) settings. Bill’s primary responsibilities consisted of injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries of all the student-athletes. Bill was an instructor for a variety of classes including: Introduction to athletic training, therapeutic modalities, exercise physiology, health, and CPR. Bill was also the athletic training intern coordinator supervising the collegiate athletic training students for the clinical internships at SMU.

Bill was born and raised in Chicago, IL but has lived in Texas for over 2/3 his life and calls Texas home. He graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a B.S. in kinesiology and a M.S. in exercise physiology. Bill lives in Dallas, TX with his two children; Emily and Will. Besides spending time with his children and watching them perform in their various activities, he enjoys being outside doing anything as well as training for various triathlons, obstacle races, and running events.
