Christopher Sakowski, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon at the Texas Orthopaedic Associates locations in Plano and on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Sakowski’s advanced training in the most state-of-the-art techniques, especially in sports medicine and hindfoot reconstruction, makes him an invaluable addition to the practice. He specializes in total ankle replacement, foot and ankle arthroscopy, minimally invasive bunion correction, and the Cartiva procedure, a new method for correcting arthritis in the big toe.
Dr. Sakowski grew up in nearby Arlington, Texas, where he attended Cistercian Preparatory school. He received his undergraduate diploma from the University of Texas at Austin, before studying medicine at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, graduating magna cum laude. While in medical school, Dr. Sakowski was able to perform research at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, studying the effects of space travel on astronauts’ bodies.
After college, Dr. Sakowski completed his residency training at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles County Hospital, one of the country’s busiest Level I trauma centers. He then completed his education with a fellowship at Baltimore’s prestigious Institute of Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Hospital.
Now back in his home state with his wife and dog, Dr. Sakowski is excited to provide quality care to the people of the Dallas metroplex. He is currently seeing new patients out of the Greenville Avenue and Walnut Hill Lane offices in Dallas, as well as at the Plano, Texas, location.
